Saturday was an awesome day- lovely weather in the afternoon, though it got colder later. Perfect day for COW FIGHTING! Here are some pictures and videos from the Cow Fight that Jasmine (and two of her friends + her dad), Magnus, Ilias and I went to. More pictures when i get them! Basically, the Cows are all thrown into the arena and they are provoked to fight one another. They go through an elimination until the "last cow is standing". The locals are soooo into it but apparently do not gamble. Instead, the value of the winning cows (which are crowned queens- they represent the region apparently) go up and are either sold or kept as a hobby. Heidi (or Jasmine) was a great inside into the sport, of course, as a translator for her dad who got us a round of beer as well. The winning cow of the day- cow 35, or Ilias' winning cow at least.
